Welcome to the official website of the stage musical, Cruisin'. This fun packed show has been performed on 4 continents, including Australia, New Zealand, The United Kingdom and Canada, and continues to delight audiences with its catchy songs and story. Written by Rod Christian and Peter Waterman in Perth, Western Australia, its story of post-war migration is indeed universal. The music is loads of fun, featuring a variety of rock 'n roll', big ballads, jive and Latin. Each original song is arranged for 12 piece band or simply available on a fully professional backing CD. Cruisin has been performed in many schools and colleges around Australia with productions in New Zealand in 2006-2007. King's College in Guildford UK have just completed a fantastic season and a school, Weyburn Junior High in Canada, has just completed a really great, sell-out show. The UK agent has locked in further bookings in 2009/2010. One has just been performed in Barrow in Furness by the A590 Youth Theatre Company and the Highbury Theatre Company. More shows are being secured in the USA and Canada and Cruisin has once again been chosen by a number of schools and colleges throughout Australia. Rod Christian, co-author and musical supervisor of Cruisin', has expanded the musical score for a 12 piece band which includes flute, clarinet, 2nd trumpet and baritone sax, added to the standard eight piece rock/jazz ensemble. This is not just another "high school juke box musical" but is a real story about an Italian family coming to terms with and growing up in a very different culture and environment which will resonate with young and old audiences. Cruisin includes an all-original musical score and provides a challenge to students and actors from all walks of life.
